Developing Critical Mining Skills Courses in Latin America

Background:

Commencing in 2022, the Developing Critical Mining Skills Courses in Latin America initiative aims to expand opportunities for transnational education delivery in Latin America, targeting key skills needs in the mining sector while supporting greater alignment with the Australian vocational education and training (VET) system.

The first phase involved conducting a skills needs analysis in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. To request copies of these analyses, please email: [email protected].

Under phase 2, the Australian Government is working to develop and pilot mining skills courses in selected areas.
