ImmiAccount - Available Services

ImmiAccount has various services to make it easy for you to manage and track your online application.  This includes:

  • Importing a paper visa application
  • Attaching documents to your application
  • Checking the progress of your application
  • Updating your address and/or passport
  • Viewing your application correspondence

There is also a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section which will assist you for more information about immiAccount. 

Check the Progress of your application

When checking the progress of you application in immiAccount, the following message options below may appear:

  • "Incomplete" - your application is incomplete and can not be submitted. If you receive this message, you should complete the questions and submit your request;
  • "Application Received" - your application was received by the Department. Make sure you have attached supporting documents to your application;
  • "Information requested" - ensure that all requested documents have been added to your account;
  • "Assessment In Progress" - your application is being assessed. If you receive this message, there is no need to contact us, as we will have access to the same information;
  • "Finalised" - a decision was made on your application. You can view the decision by selecting the reference number to access the information page in your account.

The following situations will prevent the applicant from having access to electronic communication:

  • the email in your visa application is different from the email in your account;
  • selected "no" for electronic communication;
  • made a typo in your email address;
  • you have used an agent or person authorized in your visa application.

Attach documents to online application
In some cases, additional information or documents may be requested at the time of lodgement or when by you receive a request for additional information. This information must be done electronically by attaching the requested documents online to ImmiAccount.

Update of your data

If your visa application was lodged online via ImmiAccount, you will be able to update your passport, address and email address. You will not be able to change your personal data in immiAccount. For more information, please click here.

All communication will be in English. E-mails sent to the applicant and any electronic mail (e-mail) sent in response must be in English.
